Solar power is the only reliable energy source in rural Uganda. Solar energy provides the power needed to operate water pumps, lighting, cooling fans, and technological devices. The abundant sunshine in Northern Uganda is the perfect site to harvest the sun’s energy. While we have an option of connecting to the national power grid with a nearby power line, it is often unreliable and expensive.
